Endless ? Winter
Who can complain about a few more days of cold when the light is so spectacular and there are still icicles to play with to create fanciful houses in the sky for the Ice Faeries ? This one was such fun to make. For me, it has a slightly Norse feeling... perhaps it is just the continuing cold that has me feeling particularly hardy !
When it came time to photograph this piece I had to rush as a bank of clouds were streaming in. I managed a few shots with the blue background and then the grey took over... rather than being disappointed, I just turned the camera towards the sun and the magnificent oak high up on the cliff behind the "house" .
It's all just a matter of perspective sometimes.
