The window

Along the river I collected stones. Lots of stones to build a wee house. A house built to "Hobbit" standards.

Here we have a teaser peek.. a window to look out of or in to... which is it?? A stone house is strong but putting in windows can be tricky. This magical window lets in light and the occasional firefly (Faeries love fireflies) and has a nice fungus awning to keep the rains running away from the open panes.

Working with round river stones is very challenging and rewarding- when you get it right... but it is slow, tedious work in any scale- big or small.

In a few days I will reveal the door to this special Shire House and then, after that.. the whole lovely house. Please come back !

I love seeing little pieces of the houses revealed; it draws out the suspense of seeing the finished product :)
