I want to take this moment to say Happy Solstice to each and every one of you. For those who live close to the earth, this is a magical time. No matter where you are on the planet, our ancient ancestors everywhere gathered at this time of year with exuberant festivals of fire, feasting and friendship. It was a time to pause, take stock, say prayers, and share food and drink with our loved ones and our greater communities.
For those living in the Northern half of the planet,
we are
grateful for the increasing daylight that proceeds now from this day
forward for the next half of the year. For those in the Southern half of
the planet, full summer is now getting underway and hopes for a fruitful harvest are well in hand.
No
matter where YOU are, I invite you to take a pause, even if for only a
few deep breaths and feel the magic and power of this time of year as
our ancestors did. The
earth is hitting her reset button...and we are invited to do the same.
Breathe in the magical elixir of our atmosphere, let it fill your blood
with the power of the Star that is our sun and let it feed your blood
and bones which are so closely tied to this Earth. Feel
your place in space and time and celebrate the incredible Blessing that
it is to be here, in a body, to live your life and make a difference as
only YOU can.
