It is hard to believe, but as of last week, I've been posting on this blog for just over a year...amazing !! What a year it has been too ! It was difficult for me to pick a single sculpture to share that carried the feeling of celebration and yet stayed true to the festive season and turning of the solar year that is nearly upon us...but this sculpture does it well I think... and it looks a bit like a birthday cake too !
This was made last winter and as the twilight fell, the candlelight inside brought the whole crystalline palace into such astonishing beauty that I could hardly believe it. The experience of creating this blog has been a bit like this as well...at fist a quiet glow, but as time has passed, it has surprised me how deep and rich the process has been.
It has been such a pleasure to share my work with you all and to know that there are people all over the world who are tuning in and seeing these sculptures..it is an amazing feeling to know that the connections are being made. Thank you for all your kind comments and support - both emotional and financial... it all means a great deal more than you can know.
THANK YOU !!

Thank you for keeping the energy of the faeries and elves alive!
I too love making things out of leaves, moss, flowers, bark, pinecones, rocks and shells. The necklaces of clover are especially fun to wear. As a child I built a tiny garden on my dresser so that the faeries would have a place to sit while visiting me. Still today, when I collect God's gifts of nature, I feel a sense of wellbeing and wholeness. Thank you for posting your inspirational art online. Your lighted ice castle is a joy to the soul! And your rainbow leaf ornament would bring magic to any garden. Please continue to delight our Spirits!
