Harmony and Balance

I had been wanting to do a sculpture like this ever since last year but the season of flowers went by too quickly and I had to wait till this year.

Students of Sacred Geometry will recognize this shape as very close to the Vesica Pisces symbol, the symbol of the union of opposites. (In a true Vesica Pisces, the outer edge of each circle crosses the exact center of the opposite circle) It is an ancient and mystical symbol about relationship; the individuation which needs to remain while still being in union with another. Seems a fitting image in this time of nest-building, pairing up and courtship which is now filling the fields and forests of this valley as the birds and animals pair off to procreate and raise up the next generation.

SAVE THE DATE: For those of you who live in the area, you are invited to the Gala opening of my next show at the Adirondack Arts Association in Essex, NY on May 21st from 4-6pm. For those of you who live in Vermont, you can take the ferry from Charlotte and come across as a foot passenger. The gallery is 1 block south (left as you get off the ferry) from the landing. I will be showing along with 3 other very talented artists and it promises to be a small but fun event. Come if you can! The show will hang for approx 3 weeks so if you cannot make it for that night, you can come anytime during the next 3 weeks. Please be advised to check the return times of the ferry. Right now the last one is scheduled to depart from NY at 5:30pm. You'll want to be sure you're on that boat if you come across. Hope to see you at the festivities!!!
