Gazing at the Pussy Willow Moon

Greetings Everyone,

Our spring weather has been rather unpredictable this year... but then I suppose that is just the nature of Spring!

At the last full moon we were incredibly lucky to have a clear sky. For us, the full moon of early May is often a hard one to catch because of rain or clouds, but this one was just gorgeous. It had been awhile since I had been to this location and I wasn't quite sure where the moon would be rising. At home I had built a special early spring Faerie house made entirely out of Pussy WIllows to celebrate the new season.

When I got to the site down by the lake, I set it up on a smooth boulder so I could turn the whole arrangement to hopefully catch the moonrise in the "Moon window".  Good thing because eventually when the moon did finally rise, it came up much further south than I had anticipated...but the whole thing worked. :-)  Enjoy!

Wow, gorgeous! Two of my favorite things: pussy willows and the moon. Thank you, Sally!

Thank you both so much! I too love Pussy Willows... they are such gorgeous little drops of Springtime magic! I know of at least two little kids who used to keep pussy-willow buds in jewelry boxes as "pets". There is something very animal-like in these flower buds!
